Faye Andrews, President
Faye Andrews is a senior from Pembroke, NH. A Sesquicentennial Scholar, she is a Biology major and a Chemistry minor. Faye has received the Bradley Evers Outstanding First Year Student Award, ODK Outstanding Sophomore of the Year Award, and was inducted into Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities. She is a sister of Kappa Delta Sigma sorority, a teaching assistant for General Biology, and is part of Advocates. In the past, she has been part of the Thelomathesian Society as a chair of Sexual Violence Education, assistant chair to Greek Life and a senator. Faye has also been a part of the Evaluation Review Committee, SLU ACT!, and the First Year, Sophomore, and Junior Class Councils. Pursing her interests for biology, Faye was an intern at the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department during the summer of 2008 and at the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services during the summer of 2009. For the spring semester of 2009, Faye spent the semester abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark studying Biotechnology and Pharmacology.
Nina Rhim, Vice-President
Nina Rhim is a senior from Seoul, Korea pursuing a major in Biology and double-minors in Chemistry and African Studies. She is a University Scholar and a recipient of the Bradley R. Evers Outstanding First-Year Award. Nina is the current President of the national biology honorary, Beta Beta Beta. She is one of founders and an active member of the Society of United Laurentians and is serving as a senator to the Thelomathesian Society. Nina is also a teaching assistant for St. Lawrence General Biology. She has received St. Lawrence University Summer Fellowship and has participated in an independent research in biology. In the past semesters, she has been a community assistant for First-Year students. During the spring 2009 semester Nina studied abroad in Kenya.
Danielle Rhubart, Secretary
Danielle Rhubart is a senior sociology major from Carthage, NY. A University Scholar, Danielle is the recipient of the Bradley Evers First Year Student Award and the Inger Jo Hanson Memorial Citizenship Award. She is also a Community Assistant for Residence Life and a Community Mentor for the Center for Civic Engagement where she developed and now oversees a program called the Next Step to assist at risk youth in St. Lawrence County. Danielle is a member of the Newman Club and has served as the Community Assistant Advisory Board Chair and SLU ACT Blood Drive Coordinator. She has also spent significant time volunteering at the Canton Free Will Dinners and has served on the planning committee for the Annual Leadership Conference. Danielle was a participant in the SLU Kenya Semester Program in the spring of 2009 and completed an internship with American Councils for International Education during the summer of 2009.
Marcus Tuttle, Treasurer
Marcus Tuttle is a senior from Gouverneur, NY. He is a Sesquicentennial Scholar and is pursiuing a double major in Chemistry and Mathematics with a minor in Statistics. Marcus is a member and current secretary of Pi Mu Epsilon, the mathematics honor society. He has worked as a chemistry tutor and is also a mentor in the Quantitative Resource Center. He has been active in the SLU Fencing Club, Math Club, the Hub theme community, and the University Choir. For his first two summers at St. Lawrence, Marcus was granted fellowships to perform independent research in inorganic chemistry and last summer was given a fellowship to perform research in organic chemistry dealing with the synthesis of novel pharmaceutical compounds.
Allison Morrow, Public Relations
Allison Morrow is a senior from Morrisonville, NY. A Sesquicentennial Scholar, Allison will graduate in May with a degree in mathematics with an education minor. This fall, Allison is completing the professional semester in the Gouverneur school district to apply for the New York State Teaching Certification. She is a sister of Kappa Delta Sigma sorority serving as Philanthropy Chair in fall 2008 and 2009. In the past, Allison has been an active member of the National Panhellenic Council as a Delegate in spring 2008 and Community Service Chair in fall 2008. She is also a member of Pi Mu Epsilon, the mathematics honorary society. On campus, she works as an Admissions Ambassador and a mentor in the Quantitative Resource Center. Allison was a participant in the SLU Ireland summer program in July 2008 and the Australia semester program at James Cook University in spring 2009.
