KSLU in iTunes Store

KSLU appologizes for the delay in this update but we are excited to promote the relese of an iPhone/ iPod Touch Application. After months of testing Backbone, our streaming provider, has released an application that allows connection to all of the colleges that use the Backbone software like KSLU. Since the winter of 2008, KSLU has made vast improvements to its infrastructure. The spring marked the passing of a strong leadership by key seniors, who played a crucial role in KSLU's revitalization. This coming fall will usher in a new set of leadership, which is made up of mainly underclassmen. These new leaders are dedicated to seeing KSLU rise to great heights in the coming months and years.

Student driven media has been a tradition at St. Lawrence University since the Hill News was founded in 1911. WCAD, KSLU's predecessor, was founded in 1922. WCAD was one of the first college radio stations in America and originally broadcast from the Gunnison Memorial Chapel.

KSLU is an educational non-commercial, non-profit radio station that transmits via Internet and is operated solely by students of St. Lawrence University. KSLU exists to provide an educational experience for the students of St. Lawrence University through the operation and management of a radio station. It shall operate in the public interest, convenience, and necessity providing programming of an entertaining, informative, and educational nature.
