President’s Desk

My name is Tyler Andrascik and I am the Worthy Master of the Alpha Omicron Chapter of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity at St. Lawrence University. It is my privilege as President to share with you our Fraternity’s current status. This year we are celebrating our 125th anniversary since our charter was founded at St. Lawrence in 1882. Over the past several years the Greek scene on campus has been dramatically transformed. Since the suspension of Beta Theta Pi in 2005 and the closure of Phi Kappa Sigma in 2006 Alpha Tau Omega is the last remaining fraternity left on campus. There is little doubt in my mind why ATΩ has continued to thrive in the midst of a shrinking fraternal system. Our strong moral character and leadership skills have united us together and allowed us to flourish throughout the years. The Brothers of Alpha Tau Omega have made it their personal mission to redefine fraternity life here at St. Lawrence University. We are dedicated to carrying the fraternity system into the future and look forward to seeing the re-colonization of Beta Theta Pi in 2008. We continue to seek out motivated individuals with strong leadership potential for membership in our fraternity. Pledging is an extremely gratifying and memorable experience that all “Taus” cherish for the rest of their lives. If you’ve been looking for something more to substantiate your St. Lawrence experience and make the most of your remaining time here, then perhaps this is an opportunity you should take advantage of. The chance to garner memories that’ll last you a lifetime, build brotherhood and camaraderie that’ll never fail you, and make friends that’ll last forever don’t come every day. I welcome you to contemplate the notion of becoming a part of our elite organization.
